- GraceMed selected to be Dental Hub for South Central Kansas
- KDHE funds increase by $150,000
- GraceMed goes mobile - GraceMed is going places with its new van
GraceMed has been selected to be a "dental hub" for South Central Kansas!
We will receive $520,000 in grant funds over the next three years to expand access to oral health care services for an eleven county area around Sedgwick County. In Year 1, we will expand to Butler, Cowley and Sumner Counties. In Year 2, Marion, McPherson, Elk and Chautauqua Counties. Year 3, to Barber, Harper, Pratt and Kingman Counties. Our initial action step will be to use Extended Care Permit dental hygienists to provide preventative care, particularly for children and senior adults. We will develop a referral system to insure people have access to restorative care services, either with private dentists or with GraceMed dentists. This is a tremendously ambitious project, yet one that needs to be undertaken. We are blessed to be designated as the dental hub for the area.
KDHE funds increase
As a sign of the enormous and increasing need for affordable, high-quality healthcare, the state legislature has increased GraceMed's annual KDHE grant by $150,000. This award exceeds expectations, yet does reflect the growth GraceMed has had over the past few years and the opportunity we have to increase access to care through our ministry.
